A warm welcome to the Wupperkids Parents’ Café!

Whilst the children are learning at Wupperkids, you have a place in the parents’ café to get to know one another, chat and ask questions.

You can meet other parents, share experiences and find out more about how school works.

Together, we can discuss how you can prepare your child for everyday school life.
How can I support my child’s learning? What is expected at school? Who can I turn to if I have any questions?

Do come and join us in the café – we look forward to seeing you and having a chat!

The GGS Friedhofstraße

Friedhofstraße Primary School is a vibrant primary school in the Wichlinghausen district of Wuppertal, which places great importance on a varied and community-oriented school life. The school offers children the space to develop in a familiar environment, to learn together and to discover their own interests and abilities.

The pupils at GGS Friedhofstraße are taught in a total of 13 classes, spread across three school buildings. The school grounds also include a dedicated sports hall and two playgrounds with play and climbing facilities.

But for us, school is more than just lessons:
trips, sport, joint celebrations, extracurricular clubs and projects are just as much a part of school life. In the Children’s Parliament, pupils learn to contribute their own ideas and make decisions together.

Trained mediators help to resolve conflicts in the school playground collaboratively and peacefully.

We’re delighted that your child is getting to know our school and learning important things before they start school!

Why we support Wupperkids

“Every child brings different strengths, experiences and backgrounds with them to school. This makes it all the more important to support children individually, to enable them to experience success and to foster their enjoyment of learning.

Wupperkids complements our school’s work with a programme that takes time for the children and provides them with targeted support. We consider it particularly important that not only the children, but also their parents, are involved. After all, when the school, parents and additional educational programmes work well together, it is the children who benefit most of all.

We are therefore delighted to welcome Wupperkids to our school and to work together to create new opportunities for our pupils.”
